BCAN Unveils Second Cohort of Local Game-Changing Creative Companies

Expressed 2019-2020 BCAN Founder Fellow Sarah Walker co-founder of Vent Coffee Roasters on embarking on this new entrepreneurial chapter.

Just one day before on Monday October 1st the 2019-2020 BCAN Founder Fellows - Branding by Brandi, Cajou Creamery, Fruit Camp, Mera Kitchen Collective, and Vent Coffee Roasters - were surrounded by friends, family, and well-wishers at Greenmount West’s Charm City Mead Works for a public kickoff.

Along with getting to meet the new fellows the crowd was treated to flavorful bites by PLATED by Le MONADE founded by Carleen Goodridge (BCAN Founder Fellowship ‘18) and tunes by DJ Sound Chakra

October 1st started the beginning of the fellowship which will commence with a public Demo Day on January, 28th 2020.

BCAN has partnered with a range of local providers to facilitate this program, including Conscious Venture Lab, Startup Portal, DLA Piper, Maryland Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, Orange Moon Media, Andre Bean Brand Architecture, and the Builder Fund.

Fellows will receive holistic and intensive support to guide them through refining their business models and developing their plans for growth and sustainability.
